It is noted that since the beginning of the year, a non-technical survey has been carried out in 59 territorial communities, 235 km2 have been identified as possibly contaminated.
Currently, humanitarian demining is carried out on 282 sites with a total area of 17.5 km2, of which 88 sites with a total area of 7.23 km2 have already been transferred to territorial communities.
In addition, in accordance with the Plan for the implementation of measures to clear explosive objects from agricultural lands, 2,059 km2 were surveyed and demined. It was possible to return this territory to productive use.

The members of the National Mine Action Authority decided to form a consolidated position of Ukraine for participation in the 5th review conference of the Convention “On the Prohibition of the Use, Stockpiling, Production and Transfer of Anti-Personnel Mines and Their Destruction”.
In addition, the head of the Secretariat of the National Authority for Mine Action, Colonel Ruslan Beregulya, who heads the Main Department of Mine Action, Civil Defense and Environmental Security, announced the start of work on demining plans for 2025.
Attention was also paid to demining the Ukrainian sea. It is planned that Ukraine will receive three more demining ships next year. We currently have two of these.
In addition, the effectiveness of demining the maritime territory increased thanks to the support of Germany, which transferred special equipment for the detection and classification of explosive objects.
