According to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey, since November 22, the number of foreign tourists who visited the country in the period January-October 2024 increased by 7.03%.

Including Turks living abroad, 54.6 million visitors arrived in Turkey in the first 10 months of this year.

So, for example, in October alone, the country received 5.45 million foreigners, which is 9.25 percent more than last year.

In addition, according to statistics, the largest number of tourists were Russian citizens. From January to October, the number of Russians vacationing in Turkey increased by 7.1 percent, which is 13.2 percent of all foreign tourist arrivals.

Also, more than 6 million German citizens visited the country, which is 6.4 percent more than last year.

According to the latest figures, the number of British tourists has increased by 17 per cent annually to 4.2 million.

In the first 10 months of the year, Türkiye also received 2.76 million Iranians and 2.45 million Bulgarians.

The number of Ukrainians who visited Turkey in January-October also increased, namely by 13.3 percent to 848,342 people.

The most popular city among foreigners was Istanbul, which was visited by 15.8 million tourists.

A significant increase in demand for Turkey among foreign tourists led to a 6.6 percent rise in the country’s revenue to $46.9 billion in the first nine months of 2024, compared to a year earlier.
