The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine presented plans for procurement of unmanned aerial vehicles for 2025.
“To provide a technological advantage over the enemy is one of the key tasks for 2025. If last year the main financial resource was aimed at the purchase of long -range Deepstrike, then this year more than UAH 44 billion is planned for the purchase of FPV, including models on the fiber, ” – said the Director of the Defense Department of the Ministry of Defense Gleb Kanevsky.
Earlier, the Commander -in -Chief of the Armed Forces Alexander Sirsky reported that in January, 66% of Russian equipment was disrupted precisely as a result of the work of percussion UAVs of different types. The Armed Forces drones were affected or destroyed by 7% more targets than in December. According to him, the largest proportion of lesions (49%) falls on FPV.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces added that the Ukrainian military began to use FPV-punks on the fiber.
In October, President Volodymyr Zelensky reported that a million drones that were purchased at the state expense were already produced and sent to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
During the Russian-Ukrainian full-scale war, the role of drones increased significantly. On the front line for the Armed Forces, they partially compensate for the advantage of Russian forces in artillery. They also have become indispensable for hundreds of kilometers, strokes in the territory of Russia – provided that the Western partners of Ukraine do not dare to grant the permission to use Kyiv for the use of long -term missiles of US, UK and France.
