Among those who are released from captivity, there are many seriously ill, seriously wounded and those who are in Russian captivity for over two and a half years. This is the 61st in the exchange of prisoners of war, organized by the coordination, since the beginning of a full-scale Russian invasion. In total, from Russian captivity, thanks to the work of the staff on behalf of the President of Ukraine, 4131 persons have already been returned: these are both servicemen and civilians, as well as foreign citizens
It is noted that 108 soldiers of the Armed Forces (in particular, from TRO – 7, the Navy – 26, and three from the Air Force) have returned today. 22 National Guards, 19 border guards, one representative of the National Police were also released.
They defended Ukrainian land from the enemy in Kharkiv, Zaporizhia, Donetsk, Luhansk regions, in Kherson, Sumy region, Kyiv region. In particular, the National Guards who protected the Chernobyl NPP, as well as defenders of Mariupol and Azovstal. Also, Ukrainian servicemen who participated in surgery in Kurshchyna will also see relatives. Among the liberated are 47 sergeants, 69 soldiers, 16 sailors and 18 officers
It is emphasized that the Ukrainian military will receive proper treatment, rehabilitation and reintegration assistance to society, as well as the payment of money they had to receive during the captivity, and one -time financial assistance.
