“The enemy carried out 38 airstrikes, dropped 119 guided air bombs. In addition, it used 2,510 kamikaze drones and carried out 2,437 attacks on populated areas and positions of our troops,” the summary reads as of 10:00 p.m.
Almost half of the battles were recorded in three directions – Kostyantynivskyi and Pokrovskyi in Donetsk region, Gulyaipilskyi in Zaporizhzhia.
“In the direction of Kostyantynivka, today, the occupiers stormed the positions of our defenders 38 times near the settlements of Pleshchiivka, Shcherbynivka, Rusyn Yar, Kleban-Bik, and in the direction of Kostiantynivka, Ivanopil, Illinivka, Mykolaypill, Stepanivka, Novopavlivka, Sofiivka.
The enemy made 68 attacks in the Pokrovsky direction. The occupiers tried to advance near the settlements of Nikanorivka, Rodynske, Myrnograd, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Filia and towards the settlements of Kucheriv Yar, Bilytske, Grishine, Novopidgorodne, Muravka, Novopavlivka, Ivanovka. In some locations, fighting is still going on.
There were 42 attacks by the occupiers in the Gulyaipol direction – in the areas of Gulyaipol, Myrny, Sweety and in the direction of Dobropilly, Varvarivka, Zaliznychny, Sviatpetrivka, Zeleny, and Staroukrainka. In some locations, the fighting continues to this day. Enemy aircraft struck the settlements of Verkhnia Tersa, Zaliznychne, and Ternuvate,” the message states.
Fighting also continued in the North-Slobozhansk and Kursk, South-Slobozhansk, Kupyansk, Lymansk, Slavyansk, Kramatorsk, Oleksandrivsk, and Orichivsk directions.
On January 22, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, stated that the Defense Forces continue to restrain Russian troops in Pokrovsk and Myrnograd in Donetsk region, as small groups of the Russian Federation are trying to infiltrate the northern regions of both cities. He noted that as a result of the active assault actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, another attempt by the Russian invaders to seize these settlements was thwarted.
Fighting in Pokrovsk has been going on since October 2025, when the Russian army managed to break through to the city after several months of fighting on its slopes. Almost immediately, Russian soldiers began to be recorded in Pokrovsk’s satellite city of Mirnograd.
The Pokrovsky direction, according to the reports of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, constantly leads in terms of the number of Russian assaults.
