“The enemy carried out 48 air strikes, dropped 105 guided air bombs. In addition, he used 2,665 kamikaze drones and carried out 3,653 attacks on populated areas and positions of our troops,” the evening summary reads.
A third of the attacks were recorded in the Pokrovsky direction in the Donetsk region.
“The enemy made 31 attacks in the Pokrovsky direction. The occupiers tried to advance near the settlements of Nikanorivka, Myrnograd, Rodynske, Lysivka, Zvirove, Udachne, Molodetske, Chervyn Liman, Novoeconomichne, Kotlyne, Novopavlivka, Dachne. “Four combat clashes are still ongoing,” the message stated.
Battles also continued in the North-Slobozhansk and Kursk, South-Slobozhansk, Kupyansk, Lymansk, Slovyansk, Kostiantynovsky, Oleksandrivsk, Orihiv and Dnieper directions.
Earlier, the General Staff reported that Ukrainian forces liberated 182.8 square kilometers on the territory of the Pokrovsky district of the Donetsk region, and another 230.1 square kilometers were cleared from the enemy’s DGR.
British intelligence has recently reiterated that Pokrovsk is likely to remain a priority for Russia, with the largest share of Russian attacks there compared to the rest of the front line.
On October 1, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, said that the Ukrainian military had cut off the so-called “Dobropilsky Protrusion” of Russian troops.
