“Minsk-3” will not happen, we need real peace – address of the President

I wish you good health, dear Ukrainians!

Briefly about today.

We continued to work on the points of our internal stability plan. Today, there are two fundamental points: the front and human capital. Everything related to our protection. And everything that concerns our people – both military, and civilians, and adults, and children. The goal is obvious – it is protection from Russian aggression now and everything we must do in order not to lose the post-war peace – to preserve and strengthen our people. Both the state and the people. This is a must.

Continued our international work today. Informal diplomacy. Talked with university students in Latin America. People in all parts of the world must equally understand what is needed now to restore peace to international relations.

And one more thing.

About one of today’s news. Chancellor Scholz told me that he was going to call Putin. Olaf’s call is Pandora’s box in my opinion. Now there can be other conversations, other calls. Just a lot of words. And this is exactly what Putin has wanted for a long time: it is extremely important for him to loosen his isolation. Isolation of Russia. But to conduct negotiations, ordinary negotiations that will not end in anything. As he has done for decades. This made it possible for Russia not to change anything in its policy, not to do anything in fact, and that is exactly what led to this war. We understand all these challenges now. We know how to act. And we want to warn: “Minsk-3” will not happen, we need real peace.

Glory to Ukraine!
