Ministry of Finance: Ukraine has received from the European Union already 14 billion euros from 18.1 billion provided within the ERA

Ukraine received from the European Union another tranche of 4 billion euros within the framework of the initiative of the Seven Group Extraordinary Revenue Acceleration for Ukraine (ERA), the Ministry of Finance reports on October 1.

“In total, as part of the ERA tool, the Ministry of Finance has already attracted 14 billion euros from the European Union, of EUR 18.1 billion. Ukraine will be expected to receive the rest of the EU by the end of 2025, ”the statement said.

The funds received can be directed to the priority expenditures of the state budget in the social and military spheres, as well as to restore.

Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko stated that since February 2022, Ersoyuz has been the largest provider of direct budget assistance to Ukraine – it reaches 62.5 billion euros.

“ERA funds have become an important tool for meeting budgetary needs in 2025. I am grateful to the European Commission for understanding the needs of Ukraine and a proactive position in this matter. Further use of frozen assets of the Russian Federation for the needs of Ukraine remains on the agenda of meetings with European colleagues, ”Marchenko said.

In September, Defense Minister Denis Shmigal after talking to the European Commissar Valdis Dombrovskis announced that the next tranche Era is expected in October.

Extraordinary Revenue Acceleration is an G7 initiative that provides financial resources to Kyiv at the expense of income from frozen assets of Russia.
