The Ministry of Defense notes that the Patriot is capable of targeting a wide range of air targets, including aerodynamic and ballistic ones, including high-speed ones. The complex’s radar provides simultaneous detection and tracking of a significant number of objects, and interceptors, in particular the PAC-3 modifications, are used to hit targets with direct guidance, which is important for anti-missile defense.
According to the Department of Defense, one Patriot battery can detect up to a hundred air targets and accompany several of them at the same time, and automated modes of operation make it possible to reduce the response time to threats. Patriot is capable hit air targets at an altitude of up to 24 km and a distance of up to 160 km, cover large areas.
Literally: “Currently, Patriot air defense systems protect Ukrainian cities and critical infrastructure. Reduce losses from enemy strikes with cruise and ballistic missiles on energy and civilian objects.”
We will remind:
On December 17, Minister of Defense of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal reported on the signing of a number of important agreements with German partners in the amount of more than 1.2 billion euros.
