According to Sergiy Sumlen, the director of the European Center for Initiatives on Berlin, a key problem with Leopard 2, transferred to Ukraine, is that “there are too little”. That is, if the repair is needed by one or two tanks, it means that most of what is in Ukraine will fail for a while.
Sumlene also indicated that Leopard 2 was also not intended for the Ukrainian battlefield. These German tanks are effective when they have good air support.
“But Ukraine lacks it, ”the expert stated.
He also pointed out that Leopard 2 was created by German manufacturers who did not see the war and were prone to excessive complications of systems. According to Sergiy Sumlenone, the system developed in the 1960s by those who saw the war are more effective on the front, but at the same time their armor is weaker.
Germany, according to The Telegraph, is the second largest military equipment supplier to Ukraine after the United States.
