The Meta company blocked the official page of the “Predator” patrol police brigade on the Facebook social network, which had 36,000 followers.
As the representatives of the unit reported, the reason for the blocking was massive complaints from the Russian Federation and targeted information attacks. The military associates this incident with the successful work of their fighters in the Pokrovsky direction, which caused outrage in the Russian media space.
In particular, the brigade published a screenshot from the propaganda program of Olga Skabeeva, which showed footage of the work of the “Hara” calculation. Russian propagandists paid special attention to the effectiveness of Ukrainian patrols at the front, which, according to the military, was the trigger for the wave of complaints on the unit’s page. Meta, whose algorithms often automatically respond to a mass report of content, blocked the resource without properly considering the context of waging a defensive war.
Currently, the Khyzhak brigade has already created a new official page at https://www.facebook.com/KhyzhakbrigadeDPP and calls on citizens to support them by subscribing. The situation with the blocking of Ukrainian military pages in 2026 remains a systemic problem, as the Russian Federation continues to use bot farms to manipulate the security policies of global technology platforms. The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine has repeatedly asked Meta to create a special white list for verified pages of the Defense Forces in order to avoid similar incidents in the future.

Meta has blocked dozens of accounts of organizations that provide abortion counseling and publish LGBT content around the world. The Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp accounts of more than 50 organizations, some of which serve tens of thousands of people, have been blocked.
