According to the investigation, representatives of enemy special services offered a local man, who was looking for easy money, to perform several tasks. They promised to transfer the funds to his crypto wallet.
In order to implement the aggressor’s plan, he had to purchase freely available components and ingredients for the manufacture of an explosive device. In order not to arouse unnecessary suspicion among the neighbors, the “curator” ordered to rent the apartment on a daily basis.
Later, the man assembled an improvised explosive device following clear instructions given during the video call.
Following the instructions of the “employer”, he left the package near the car, which drove up to the house and gave the appropriate signal. At this moment, representatives of the Russian Federation tried to remotely activate the explosives.
The driver of the car and a potential target of the enemy turned out to be a serviceman of the TRO. According to the FSB special service, he was lured by a fake account of a girl on a dating site who invited him “on a date.”
It was possible to prevent a terrorist attack and save a Ukrainian serviceman thanks to early technical changes to the explosive device, which prevented its detonation, the prosecutor’s office notes.
The detained law enforcement officer is not informed about the declaration of suspicion.
