On June 6, the coordination headquarters on the management of prisoners of war Ukraine reported that the Russian side’s statements were allegedly on the beginning of the return of bodies or repatriation measures on the results of agreements in Istanbul are not true. The statement of the headquarters published in the telegram stated that preparation for the exchange of seriously ill, seriously wounded, young people and the return of the bodies of fallen defenders was ongoing.

On June 2, the delegations of Ukraine and the Russian Federation agreed in Istanbul on new exchanges of prisoners.
