Donald Trump and his transition team are discussing the possibility of creating a full-time position in the White House with a focus on digital assets. About it with reference to the knowledgeable Sources write Bloomberg.

US presidents appoint so-called “czars” to address high-priority issues such as climate change and border security.

The initiative is being discussed with industry leaders. The decision has not yet been made.

The approval will provide the digital asset industry with a specific official with whom to discuss industry priorities and indirectly engage in dialogue with the head of state.

According to sources, it is assumed that the “crypto czar” will play the role of a liaison between Congress, the White House, as well as SEC and CFTC.

In recent days, Trump met with Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong and former CLO Coinbase and the head of Binance.US Brian Brooks. The latter is among potential candidates for the post of SEC chairman.

It will be recalled that Trump is considering the possibility of appointing candidates who support digital assets to key positions in the government.

He suggested Elon Musk and former US presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy to head the new Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

For the post of US attorney general, Trump chose Matt Goetz, a supporter of bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, who advocates deregulation of the industry.
