Sources of publication in the ranks of Republicans warn that if hegset or other members of his team take measures aimed at deliberately traveling the commander -in -chief, it will create a serious problem.
Republican senators are “concerned” that Hegset may have suspended the supply of weapons to Ukraine several times without their knowledge, and they want to get detailed information about who was involved in the Pentagon in the Pentagon.
“This is a problem,” said one republican senator who wished to remain anonymous.
“To hear that there may have been other suspensions or that this suspension lasted longer than we know, it is anxious for me,” another legislator said.
One of the most acute critical remarks was expressed by the Republican Senator Tom Tillis, who in an interview with CNN stated that Hegsset’s decision to terminate the supplies of weapons to Ukraine was “amateur”.
“Now, over time, I think it became clear that he did not cope with the responsibilities of the head of a large, complex organization,” the senator said.
Senator Lindy Graham stated that Congress should “reach the essence” of the question of who and why he ordered to freeze the supply of weapons.
At the same time, Senator-Democrat Jack Reed believes that, apparently, there was a serious failure in communication between Hegset and Trump. This was confirmed by sources in republican circles.
