Media: a former “Wagner” mercenary was detained in the USA on the border with Mexico

The American border guard detained the former mercenary of the private military company “Wagner” Timur Praliev – this was reported by the American media on January 10.

He was reportedly detained while attempting to illegally cross the Rio Grande River in Texas from Mexico on January 4.

After the detention, Praliev said that he was a citizen of Kazakhstan, but he had a Russian passport with him, in addition to the Kazakh one.

Border guards also found $4,000, 60,000 Mexican pesos and a drone in the detainee’s possession.

During the interrogation, Praliev admitted that he fought in the “Vagner” PMK. The USA considers this paramilitary formation to be involved in war crimes, executions and other acts of violence in African countries and on the territory of Ukraine.

The authorities of the countries of Central Asia have repeatedly warned citizens about the responsibility of participating in the war against Ukraine.
