McGregor stated that he was “sincere” in his intentions to participate in the elections and was “truly moved” given to him by “support and encouragement.”

“After careful reflection and consultation with my family, I remove my candidacy from these presidential race. It was a difficult decision, but it is right now,” he wrote.
It is noted that on Monday he was supposed to speak at the meetings of the Dublin City Council and the County County Kilder to try to get to the ballot in the October election. To do this, he needed to make his candidature either 20 members of the Irish Parliament or four local authorities.
McGregor stated that he was “sincere” in his intentions to participate in the elections and was “truly moved” given to him by “support and encouragement.”
He stated that the rules for admission to the elections contained in the “Obsearilius of the Constitution” Ireland, are a “gamut shirt”, which prevents “a truly democratic presidential election.”
According to him, the Constitution guarantees that the elections were “adjusted to guarantee that only candidates approved by the establishment may be included in the ballot.” McGregor added:
“This deficiency of democracy, which contradicts the will of the Irish people, has now successfully intensified my manifestation of interest. It is not the end, but the beginning of my political path. I am inspired doubt.
McGregor statements about presidencyLast year, McGregor lost a civil lawsuit against a woman who accused him of sexual abuse. He was ordered to pay nearly 250,000 euros as a compensation for the damage after Dublin High Court found his civil liability for attacking Nikita Hand at the 2018 Dublin Hotel. In July, three judges rejected his appeal to this decision.
McGregor has announced his intention to join Ireland Presidential Races last September. Later, shortly after meeting with US President Donald Trump in the White House, McGregor said he would run for president.
