Margot Robbie was quick to put a rude former co-star in his place.

During a recent conversation with Charli xcx for Complexthe Oscar-nominated actress and producer recalled a male cast member from a past project gifting her a book about eating less food.

“Very, very early in my career, an actor I worked with, a male actor, gave me a book called French Women Don’t Get Fatand it was essentially a book telling you to eat less,” she said. “And I was like, whoa, fuck you, dude.”

Robbie added, “He essentially gave me a book to let me know that I should lose weight. I was like, ‘Wow.'” She also noted that she has “no idea where he would even be now.”

The book in question, written by Mireille Guiliano, was originally published in 2004 and centers on French eating habits and moderation.

While Robbie opted out of naming the male actor or the project they were working on together, she has gone on to make quite a name for herself in Hollywood. Some of her most notable roles include The Wolf of Wall Street (2013), Suicide Squad (2016), I, Tonya (2017), Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019), Bombshell (2019), Babylon (2022) and Barbie (2023).

She’s also earned three Oscar nominations, including best leading actress for I, Tonyabest supporting actress for Bombshell and best picture for Barbie.

Robbie next stars opposite Jacob Elordi in the Fennell-directed Emerald Wuthering Heightswhich hits theaters on Friday. The filmmaker previously told British Vogue why she knew the actress was the obvious choice for the role of Cathy.

“Cathy is a star,” Fennell said at the time. “She’s wilful, mean, a recreational sadist, a provocateur. She engages in cruelty in a way that is disturbing and fascinating. It was about finding someone who you would forgive in spite of yourself, someone who literally everyone in the world would understand why you love her. It’s difficult to find that supersized star power. Margot comes with big dick energy. That’s what Cathy needs.”
