As far as I know, until the commander, at that time Hnatov (Andriy, the current chief of the General Staff – editor), did not report to the president, and after that the air defense divisions were brought into position and three Russian Sus were shot down, Russia was hitting with KABs with impunity, like artillery, until this moment.”
Details: Volynsky believes that he needs to hear clear answers about the operation from the command, including from the then commander of the Marine Corps Yuriy Sodol. “I believe that there should be many questions for Yuri Ivanovych, starting from Mariupol and ending with Krynkami. I do not undertake to give any legal assessments, but we should hear clear answers as to why such decisions were made,” he said.
“Volyn” also believes that thousands of Ukrainian soldiers died in Krynyky. “I know that more than a thousand servicemen are now considered missing,” he added.

Prehistory:
- In October 2023, Ukrainian troops have become established in Krynky. Since then, the occupying forces have been trying to drive Ukrainian forces out of there almost every day, which was regularly mentioned in the daily reports of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
- In July 2024, “Ukrainian Pravda” sources in the marines reported that Ukrainian the military withdrew from Krynyk in the Kherson region. The General Staff did not officially confirm this.
- On July 17, the publication “Slidstvo.info” reported that according to the police, 788 Ukrainian soldiers are missing during the defense operation in the village of Krynky on the left bank of the Dnieper in the Kherson region from October 2023 to the end of June 2024. The number of dead soldiers who managed to be removed from there and finally buried is much smaller – 262 defenders during this period.
