The European Athletics Federation announced the list of nominees for the title of the best female athlete of 2024 in Europe. Ukrainian high jumper Yaroslava Maguchykh, who became the Paris Olympic champion in 2024 and broke the 37-year-old world record, was among the applicants for the award.
In addition to her, Nadia Battocletti (Italy), Femke Bol (Netherlands), Sifan Hassan (Netherlands), Kiley Hodgkinson (Great Britain), Natalya Kaczmarek (Poland), Malaika Mihambo (Germany), Yemisi Ogunleye (Germany), Sirena are claiming the award. Samba-Mayela (France), Nafissatu Thiam (Belgium).
Voting will continue until September 29 on the official website of European Athletics. The award ceremony will take place on October 26 in Skopje.
