French President Emmanuel Macron called on European countries and NATO to develop a plan for “Determining Reliable Security Guarantees” for Ukraine in case of ceasefire, according to March 11 in the report of the Presidential Office following the results of the Paris meeting of warlords from 30 countries in Europe and NATO.

He added that this should be done “given the acceleration of peace talks.”

Earlier, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, speaking at a press conference during his visit to Kosovo, noted that security guarantees should be discussed when the details of the peace agreement will be known.

Earlier it was reported that in Paris, French President Emmanuel Macron will discuss aspects of the deployment of a peacekeeping mission of troops.

According to British officials, about two dozen countries are interested in joining a coalition in support of Ukraine. According to British Prime Minister Kira Starmer, as part of a project headed by the United Kingdom and France, soldiers from the group can be sent to Ukraine as peacekeepers. At the same time, not every coalition will be ready to send peacekeeping troops – some countries may provide other support.

French Finance Minister Eric Lombard said that the United Kingdom, Germany, France and other European countries are ready to send troops to Ukraine to provide a possible truce.

According to President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, if Ukraine is not admitted to NATO, peacekeepers from the Alliance should be placed in the country.

Instead, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated that Moscow did not see a compromise in the question of the potential placement of the European Peacekeeping Continent in Ukraine.

On March 11, Saudi Arabia was held in Saudi and the United States in Saudi Arabia. Presidential head Andriy Yermak, Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga, Defense Minister Rustem Umerov and Deputy Head of OP Pavlo Palis took part on the Ukrainian side. From the United States: Secretary of State Marco Rubio, National Security Advisor Michael Voltz and Special Representative of the US President for the Middle East Stephen Witcoff.

During the negotiations, Ukraine agreed with the proposal of the US side to introduce a ceasefire regime in the war with Russia for 30 days. The delegations also discussed the importance of humanitarian efforts as part of the peace process, in particular during the ceasefire regime, including the exchange of prisoners of war, the dismissal of retained civilians and the return of forced Ukrainian children.
