Macron and Starmer will visit Washington against the background of negotiations on Ukraine

French President Emmanuel Macron and the UK Prime Minister Kir Elder will visit Washington next week as part of meetings aimed at ending Russia’s war in Ukraine, said US National Security Advisor Mike Volz.

Subsequently, the White House representative, on the anonymity, confirmed AFP that Macron was going to meet Donald Trump in the White House next week.

These meetings will take place against the backdrop of European leaders’ concern about how Trump is negotiating Ukraine. This week, Trump sent several officials, including Volz, to meet Russian officials in Saudi Arabia to discuss the termination of the war. At the same time, there were no representatives of Ukraine or Europe at this meeting.
