Ukrainian tennis player Lyudmila Kichenok failed to win a trophy at the hard WTA 500 tournament in Adelaide, Australia.

In the doubles final, the Ukrainian woman and her partner Desiree Kravchyk (USA) lost in two sets to the second seeded tandem Kateryna Sinyakova (Czech Republic) / Zhang Shuai (China).

In the second game, Lyudmila took a medical time-out due to problems with her right leg.

Kichenok and Kravchik held their first joint competition since 2019. In Adelaide, they managed to beat the tandems of Iryna Khromacheva / Aleksandra Panova, Se Shuvei / Alyona Ostapenko (Ostapenko starred before the match) and Ellen Peres / Demi Schuurs.

Kichenok held her 25th Tour-level final and fought for her 12th trophy.

Next week, Ludmila will perform at the Australian Open in one pair with Katya Volynets.
