Two people were injured in Nikopol due to Russian shelling, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional military administration Serhii Lysak said.

“Heavy artillery and unmanned aerial vehicles targeted the Russians in Nikopol region during the day. Ammunition was also dropped from drones. Two men – 46 and 74 years old – were injured in the shelling in the district center. Doctors assess their condition as average,” he wrote in a telegram.

According to him, in total, three businesses and five private homes were damaged in Nikopol. Power lines and a gas pipeline were also damaged.

The Russian military regularly attacks Ukrainian regions with various types of weapons – attack UAVs, rockets, anti-aircraft missiles, and anti-aircraft missiles.

The leadership of Russia denies that the Russian army during a full-scale war inflicts targeted strikes on the civilian infrastructure of the cities and villages of Ukraine, killing the civilian population and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply facilities.

The Ukrainian authorities and international organizations qualify these strikes as war crimes by the Russian Federation and emphasize that they are purposeful in nature.
