LUCHESKU: “He wanted me to stay, but he said he would take me to the club…”

A famous trainer Mircea Lucescu recalled his departure from “Inter” in 1999 and spoke about the president of Milan Massimo Moratti.

“Massimo Moratti is a real gentleman, he tried to convince me to stay, but at that Inter I had ten players whose contracts were expiring and he made it clear that he would take Lippi next year, which caused me problems. Moratti: in any case, he is the soul of the club, his love was felt, he is an example of the golden era, when Italian football was the business of big families.
