Abi originally filmed the scene wearing sunglasses before being told to take them offCredit: Rex But the star has now revealed that one scene in particular was re-shot by ITV chiefs which led to an entirely different outcome.
Having found herself in a couple with current All Star Scott van-der-Sluis, Abi eventually decided that they were just friends and that it wouldn’t go any further.
In order to be honest with Scott, Abi pulled him to one side to explain how she was feeling and how their romance would not go the distance.
However, both Abi and Scott were soon instructed to re-film the entire conversation by producers as a result of them wearing sunglasses during the original take.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun about the pivotal scene, Abi said: “I pulled Scott but I had my sunglasses on during filming.
“I went, ‘oh look shall we just call it friendship like it is what it is now’.
“But then like he was saying how he was a slow burner but we were literally five days away from the final.
“I had decided so I just said ‘yeah, let’s just call it a day’.
“H was was like ‘yeah okay fine’ but then the producers were like ‘ah we need you to say it again but with no sunglasses’.”
Abi then recalled as Scott was aware of the conversation that was to come, he decided to jump in to make it seem like he was the one who wanted to end things with Abi.
It changed the entire outcome of the scene with it left looking like Scott took more of an initiative with the romance cooling.
Adding why he did that, Abi told The Sun: “He likes controlling the narrative and that was his way to do it.
“Before that conversation, he used to pull the mic away and say to me in bed, ‘stick with me and we will make it to the final’.
“He used to say he was the nation’s sweetheart in the villa.”
Abi and Scott ultimately left the villa in a friendship couple and Scott soon found himself taking part in the show a further THREE times.
Meanwhile, Abi was lined-up to be a bombshell on last year’s edition of All Stars but pulled out of talks after finding love with Married At First Sight star Nathan Campbell.
