The State Bureau of Investigation stated on June 16 that its staff, together with the SBU, exposed a large -scale corruption scheme for the purchase of cargo equipment for the needs of one of the military units. According to reports, the organizers artificially created the conditions for winning the “required” company in state tenders.

“The key involved in the case is the head of one of the departments of the logistics department of the administration of the State Special Transport Service. He involved in the scheme of several heads of units of one of the military units and representatives of the commercial structure. From September to October 2024, officials prescribed discriminatory conditions in the tender documentation to eliminate real competitors. As a result, the winner was a pre -determined company that offered the product for more than UAH 64 million more expensive than other participants, ”the DBR said.

The bureau indicates that the losses can be much larger, since the specified structure has supplied equipment for more than 17 military units.

Earlier in June, the State Bureau of Investigation, together with the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption, announced the suspicion of the former chief of one of the central departments of the Logistics Forces Command Department of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in illegal enrichment.
