Light throughout Ukraine is under threat due to new strikes

The situation with electricity supply throughout Ukraine has become more complicated due to new strikes by Russian troops on the energy infrastructure. The situation with electricity supply throughout Ukraine has become more complicated due to new strikes by Russian troops on the energy infrastructure. The power system is running at capacity, and dispatchers are forced to use emergency shutdowns to avoid large-scale overloads, informs DTEK u Facebook

The company notes that some of the energy facilities are undergoing emergency repairs after the shelling, which is why the system cannot work in its usual mode.

Due to the damage to the infrastructure, the load on the network increased throughout the country. In order to prevent even more serious failures and preserve the integrity of the power system, dispatchers are forced to introduce emergency power cuts.

DTEK explains that this is a forced step that avoids a complete collapse of the system and gives energy workers time to restore damaged facilities. “To prevent overloading, dispatchers are forced to use emergency shutdowns. Energy workers are already working on restoration,” the company said in a statement.

According to DTEK, repair crews work around the clock. Some of the emergency works at key facilities are planned to be completed in the coming days. According to energy experts, this should gradually reduce the load on the system and give a chance to stabilize the situation.

The company emphasizes that the current state of the power system remains complex and directly depends on the security situation and the intensity of shelling. Each new blow to the infrastructure immediately affects the ability to stably supply electricity to consumers.

At the same time, energy experts call on Ukrainians to understand temporary outages and, if possible, to reduce electricity consumption during peak hours. “Repairs at individual facilities should be completed within days. This gives hope for an improvement in the situation,” DTEK notes. The company thanked Ukrainians for their patience and emphasized that energy workers are doing everything possible to ensure that the light remains in people’s homes even in the most difficult conditions.
