Lawyers who wanted to bribe a judge were detained in Kyiv

The specialized anti-corruption prosecutor’s office (SAP) reported suspicion to two lawyers who were exposed for attempting to bribe a judge of one of the Kyiv courts. The specialized anti-corruption prosecutor’s office (SAP) reported suspicion to two lawyers who were exposed for attempting to bribe a judge of one of the Kyiv courts.

According to the SAP, the lawyers planned to bribe the judge for an acquittal in the case of the theft of sand belonging to Ukrzaliznytsia.

Before the attempted bribery, the accused ordered an expert opinion from one of the expert institutions, which they intended to use as an argument.

Both are suspected of preparing to provide an illegal benefit to an official. The SAP also added that one of these lawyers was previously involved in a case of unauthorized access to the Unified State Register of Court Decisions (April 2025).

Earlier Mrlaw enforcement officers exposed the head of the military medical commission of the TCC and SP in Ternopil for corruption.
