In Prykarpattia, three accomplices were exposed, who are suspected of transporting conscripts to Romania, bypassing checkpoints.

This is reported by the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office in the field of defense of the Western region.

According to the investigation, the criminal scheme was organized by two border guards and a resident of Bukovyna.

They personally coordinated the actions of their “clients”, providing instructions and advice on illegal border crossing. The attackers helped the evaders to reach the starting point, checked the area for the presence of patrols and indicated the direction of travel to Romania.

The cost of such services started from 6 thousand US dollars for each “client”. The law enforcement officers found that several people were smuggled to Romania through this scheme.

Now three accomplices have been detained, preventive measures have been taken against them. Law enforcement officers are investigating the involvement of other persons in this illegal activity.

Procedural management in the case is carried out by the Ivano-Frankivsk Specialized Prosecutor’s Office.
