Details: Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov met on Sunday in Beijing with China’s Foreign Minister Van I.

The Russian Federation stated that “The parties also discussed relations with the United States and the prospects for resolving the Ukrainian crisis (the War of the Russian Federation against Ukraine – Ed.).”
“The importance of strengthening close coordination between the two countries in the international arena, in particular in the United Nations and its Security Council, SCOs, Brix, G20 and APEC, was emphasized,” the Russian Federation said.
China’s Foreign Ministry reported that close contact between the two countries was intended to “promote the development and revival of each other, as well as respond jointly to the challenges caused by the turbulent and changing world.”
It is also reported that both parties “exchanged views on the Korean Peninsula and the Iranian nuclear problem.”
Lavrov should take part in a meeting of foreign ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in China.
