Details: Lavrov said that according to the results of the Anchorage summit, in his opinion, the parties could quite quickly agree on a peace agreement between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin. He characterized further options for agreements as attempts, in his words, to retreat from the “American initiative” on the part of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi.

Direct speech: “In Anchorage, we found approaches based on the American initiative, American proposals – and which opened the way to peace. On this basis, it was quite realistic to quickly agree on the final settlement agreement.”
Details: In addition, Lavrov said that the Russian Federation is “ready for compromises”, but, according to him, they cannot relate to “key principles” on which “the lives of the state and millions of people depend.”
The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation also stated that Europe is allegedly disrupting the coordination of those “moments” that, according to him, were reached in Alaska. He added that the goals of the so-called “SVO” for Russia “do not change” and, as he claims, are related to the “security” of the Russian Federation. Separately, Lavrov said that those who actively comment on the negotiations in Abu Dhabi allegedly “want to disrupt them.”
He also said that “Russia is ready for compromises”, but, according to him, they cannot relate to “key principles” on which “the life of the state and millions of people depend”.
