In 1907, mammoth bones were discovered in Chernihiv. Further excavations showed that it was a full parking lot of late Paleolithic people, and in the 1970s, archaeologists came to the conclusion that one of the oldest music complexes in Europe was found here.
At the end of the nineteenth century, the peasant Sisya Koshel from the village of Mezin in Chernihiv region aligned the site for the construction of the house. The work went slowly because it was necessary to pull the huge bones of some animals from the ground. And when he built a cellar in 1907, he again came across a large number of the same bones. They learned about it in the Chernihiv Provincial Scientific Archival Commission and sent their representative to Mezin.
Arriving in the village, the archaeologist gathered the bones, and people showed him another find: it turned out that last year the storm stream washed away part of the ledge of the ancient beam and exposed the accumulation of large bones of the mammoth. But then no one gave it value – well, they lie to themselves and lie.
