Within two weeks, Ukrtrans Security and Patrol Police experts have focused on the most loading highways of the capital, transplant units, bus stations and subway stations.
In total, inspectors carried out 548 inspections of freight transport and 765 inspections of passenger transportation by private carriers.
According to the results of inspections, it was discovered:
– 96 violations of cargo transportation for the total amount of fines 1 223 830 UAH;
– 148 violations in passenger transportation for 2 437 120 UAH.
The total amount of fines was 3 660 950 UAH.
Among the most common violations in the field of freight:
– lack of permits;
– violation of the mode of work and rest of drivers;
– exceeding overall-weight parameters.
“Failure to comply with the requirements of freight transportation threatens road safety due to increasing the risk of road accidents on the roads of the city. Therefore, the order of movement of trucks in Kiev special attention,” Tkachenko said.
Regarding passenger transportation, inspectors were most often recorded:
– lack of necessary permits in drivers;
– failure to observe the mode of work and rest.
Sanctions against violators
According to the inspection, the Chief of the KMVA initiated the municipal service of transportation and the profile deputy chairman of the KSCA to carry out additional control of the technical condition of rolling stock of private carriers.
“In case of detection of systemic violations – to apply the most severe sanctions against such carriers. Conscious violators should be excommunicated from work on the capital streets,” Tkachenko emphasized.
