Since September 25, when sending payments to China and Europe, Kyrgyz banks require the sender to sign a guarantee that the goods will arrive in the republic within 60 days.

About this writes Russian publication The Moscow Times with reference to importers.

Such information is also published by the participants of profile chats on external economic activity. From September 30, the resolution of the board of the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan, adopted at the beginning of September, came into force, by which a one-year ban is imposed on the payment of goods, works and services by foreign companies outside the republic without actual delivery of the purchased products to the country. An exception will be made for some authorized state-owned companies designated by the government.

In August in Bishkek, a delegation of the US Treasury Department demanded that Kyrgyz banks stop providing Russia with sanctions evasion services, threatening to cut off dollar payments and SWIFT, tax consultant Mykhailo Zhuhovytskyi claimed.

“Perhaps that is why the resolution of the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan is called “On ensuring economic security and maintaining financial stability”. This made the scheme of payment for goods with subsequent direct delivery to Russia almost meaningless,” the publication wrote with reference to interlocutors.

We will remind:

Turkish authorities does not discuss restoration of the Russian payment system “Mir” in the country.
