“160 brigades worked during the day to restore light and heat. At night, 52 brigades will be involved in the field. We must be ready for any scenarios,” said Shmyhal.

He also commented on the heating issue. According to the minister, it was possible to partially stabilize the operation of heat generation in Kyiv. There are currently 3,261 houses without heating in the capital.

“The task is clear: to supply heat to as many homes as possible during the day. Communal services are doing everything possible for this. 124 generators of various capacities are used at critical points of the city. Also, 91 emergency response points have been deployed in the city at 68 locations. Work to restore heat generation is ongoing,” the Minister of Energy summarized.

The situation in the energy system of UkraineAs a result of constant attacks by the Russian occupying forces on the energy infrastructure of Ukraine, the situation in the energy sector is quite complicated. In Kyiv, in addition to problems with light, some houses have been without heating for more than 10 days. Due to the frost, the pipes began to burst.

The mayor of the capital, Vitaliy Klitschko, said that the residents of Kyiv are gradually getting the heat back in their homes. It will begin to be served en masse already this night. In general, they plan to spend two days.
