To this he replied: “Hungary’s position has not changed, discussions are ongoing. We have a dialogue and consistent work with the European Union.”

As for progress on the “reparation loan” issue, Kachka noted that the European Commission has already provided its options.

“This gives space before the meeting of the European Council to come to a single decision, which will make it possible to approve the regulation on the allocation of the funds of the “reparation loan”, – said the government official.

Prehistory:

  • Orban wrote a letter to the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, in which he demanded immediate support for the US “peace plan” and to stop aid to Ukraine.
  • In addition, according to the media, Orban will fly to Moscow this week for a meeting with the head of the Kremlin, Vladimir Putin.
