Sources report that the final of the selection were Sergey Koretsky and Oleg Prokhorenko, who previously headed “Ukrgasvydobuvannya”.
Sergey Koretsky has been headed by Ukrnafta and Ukrtatnafta since November 2022. Before that, since 2013 he has held the position of CEO of WOG. Since 2018 he has been engaged in his own business.

Earlier, in November 2022, the Cabinet of Ministers appointed Alexei Chernyshov as head of the Board of Naftogaz of Ukraine.
Subsequently, in December 2024 Chernyshov became Viceremier-Minister of Ukraine-Minister of National Unity of Ukraine. Since then, his ligament has been temporarily performed by Roman Chumak.
