The singer wants to represent Ukraine at the competition.

According to the presenter, the selection criteria should be equal for all artists. However, he noted that it is now time to remove the clause about “performances in Russia after 2014”:
“I don’t know what Ukrainian artists (and people of other professions) did in Russia after March 2014. But, unfortunately, the laws of Ukraine do not seem to have prohibited visiting the aggressor country in 2014. Therefore, the only thing that needs to be observed is the equality of the rules for all participants of the National Selection. But as of today, when there is a war, I would not change the rules.”
Kondratyuk added that Polyakova would undoubtedly become a competitive participant of the National Selection, however, in his opinion, this is possible only if the singer does not violate the rules.
“If Olya Polyakova does not break the rules, then why should I question her desire to participate in the National Selection for Eurovision. Is she less talented than the other candidates? No, of course. She is brighter than many contestants I have seen in recent years at the National Selection,” said Ihor Kondratyuk.
Earlier, Lesya Nikityuk reacted to Polyakova’s statement about Eurovision by making an interesting proposal.
