– Championship emotions? You know, apparently, it is not visible now, because we have finished this year a little. We went out to win and my mistake was. I lost the ball and we played. But, perhaps, it is symbolic that for Chernomorets … I want them to remain in the premiere. For them, it is a point – like gold. For us – gold. So super. We have done a very big contribution, I did a lot of work. Many do not see it, I say. So I congratulate our team – that after last season … I will not say that the failed but heavy – we made a step forward, we reflected, and we proved it, the result. But a lot of work ahead. We lost the cup, we played in the European Cups not as qualitatively as we wanted. So there is something to work on.
– Personally for you – you have long been in Dynamo and dreamed of this championship. It is very difficult for your team, everything was decided in the last round. Even here in Odessa. You are Odessa. And yet – more pleasant feelings?
– Yes, of course, more enjoyable. Because it should have been. I say – if we won in Polesie, and Alexandria lost, we would celebrate somewhere there, everyone at home. And here – symbolic, we in Odessa, I in my hometown, let the fans for the first time in three years – Super. I am very pleased that this is where I became the champion of Ukraine.
– After the Cup of Ukraine, Dynamo went with devastation. No one wanted to talk to the press. We understood the emotions as the team survived this difficult stage …
– As our coach said – and it should be that after victories and after some defeat it is necessary to depart very quickly. If you walk and digest it – you lose energy, you live in the past. So we didn’t even understand the game because there was no time. We quickly prepared for this game – and all. Of course, there was a devastation. I have played 90 minutes, but I spent a lot of energy in the game that played not two halves, but four. It was difficult because there was a lot of emotions. The last matches of the season are very difficult. But we could withstand, and we were ready to fight and win with Kolos in the next round. But there will be time there. The main thing is that we became champions. And it’s super.
– Today you can also say what they have withstood. It was 120 minutes in the previous match – played in the cup. And also in the second half, Chernomorets looked more fresh. How did you squeeze and hold the desired account?
– “Chernomorets” … Well, I will say again, but perhaps the football player “Dynamo” should not say so – that “Chernomorets” is more needed. Because they understood that the whole team was fighting for survival. I would very much like them to stay in the Premier League. I think we lost more here. We missed a goal – and something did not go. You know, no longer is the fatigue, but the psychological is a little break, and we have already played not to win, but somewhere for maintenance.
