Promoter Eddie Hearn admitted that the fight between Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul is only of financial interest for the British boxer.
“Joshua got a huge offer. We were already planning a warm-up fight, but Paul’s offer was such that we did not even dream of such sums.”
“It’s the kind of money you can’t turn down,” Hearn said.
The fight will take place on December 19 in Miami.
It is reported that in 2026, Joshua is planning a fight with Tyson Fury, if Turki Al-Sheikh manages to convince the heavyweight to return to the ring.
