Former world champion in super heavyweight (over 90.7 kg) Anthony Joshua (28-4, 25 KOs) plans to return to the ring in November or December 2025. This was reported by the influential promoter Eddie Hearn.
At the moment, the Briton has three options:
- boxing night on November 15, where Chris Eubank will fight Conor Benn
- show on December 13, which will feature Diego Pacheco and Kevin Sajo in the main event
- night, which will take place on December 27, on the undercard of Naoi Inoue
Hearn said that the opponent may disappoint Joshua’s supporters, as the boxer plans to have a walk-through fight with an opponent who is not included in the rankings of world organizations.
The promoter believes that after a long break, his ward cannot take risks and go against strong opponents. After the fight in 2025, Joshua is expected to hold a high-profile fight in 2026 – Daniel Dubois and Tyson Fury are considered candidates.
The last time Anthony entered the ring was in September 2024, when he was knocked out by his compatriot Dubois.
