On Saturday, October 11, in the Arena “Sheffield Arena” in the English Sheffield will take place an evening of boxing organized by promoter Eddie Hirn and his company Matchroom Boxing.

The main event of the show will be the confrontation in the heavyweight weight – in the ring will meet the British David Allen (24–7–2, 19 KO) and Russian Arslanbek Mahmudov (20–2, 19 KO). A few days before this battle, Allen answered the questions of journalists:

– Joshua is looking for a rival. How do you think he will fight against?

– If he returns, he will go out to the ring against Mahmudov, but provided that the Russian overcomes me. If I win – Joshua will not fight me.

– Why?

– I don’t know. I was told about it. Mahmudov can get a chance, not me. I try to tell you what will happen next. Mahmudov is much more scary, he is a serious rival. Therefore, Joshua will fight with the Russian in the event of his victory, – said Allen.

Mahmudov confirmed Allen’s words and reported his conversation with Joshua, who is ready to go to the ring against the Russian boxer next year:

“We talked a little with Joshua. I offered him a fight, and he replied: “Well, we can arrange it next year. The fact is that there is a history in amateurs. Joshua lost to two soldiers at the European and World Championships, and I won them, ”Arslanbeck said.
