Vitaliy Sarantsev, the spokesman of OTU “Kharkiv”, told about this on the air of the national telethon “Yedini Novyni”.

— As of today, the hottest part of the front is the Vovchan direction. This is directly the city of Vovchansk and its neighboring settlements. There, the enemy continues to attack the city, conduct street battles. There, he continues to try to wedge himself into the depths of our defense systems and inflict fire damage using a variety of weapons, he said.

However, the occupiers face persistent resistance from units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, which inflict losses on the enemy and force him to abandon his tasks.

Thanks to the successful actions of the Ukrainian defenders, the Russian invaders were forced to reduce their activity and refuse to carry out assault actions in certain areas in the north of Kharkiv region.

— If we take other directions, in particular, Staritsa, Liptsi, Hlyboke, Lukyantsi, the enemy is not currently conducting any active actions there. But this does not mean that he left and gave up the offensive. No, he is building up his forces, he is conducting an internal rotation of units. Where possible, he tries to carry out logistics support measures, builds up the communication system, builds up the management system. This is evidence that he is nevertheless preparing to carry out offensive actions in certain directions with the aim of restoring the lost position, the spokesman noted.

He emphasized that the Defense Forces, under favorable conditions, try to go forward and advance, and also regularly inflict effective fire damage on the occupiers.

— We are improving our own tactical position and little by little liberating our land from the Russian occupiers, — Vitaly Sarantsev concluded.
