Fnatic started their RMR journey with a loss to NAVI, but quickly rebounded with a win over the Rebels. The team approached the tournament with a new player, Tim “nawwk” Yunasson, who joined the roster less than two months ago. Despite a difficult start, Matush “MATYS” Shymko believes that this time fnatic will be able to reach the Major.

It could have been worse, but it could have been better»

After a 1-1 first day, MATYS concluded:

“Against NAVI, we lost important rounds – we won the pistols, but lost the opponent’s forces. This hurts BO1, especially against top teams. But they are in first place for a reason, so they played very well.”

Instead, the match with Rebels became much more comfortable for fnatic:

“We were able to play in our style. They gave us an opportunity, and on the Ancient map it brought success.”

RMR’s past experience adds confidence

MATYS believes that participating in the previous RMR in Copenhagen will help the team:

“Last time we lacked only one victory. This time we support each other better and improve our game with each match.”

New members of the lineup, blameF and nawwk, brought valuable experience to the team:

“They add composure in the clutch and confidence in tight situations, which helps a lot compared to the previous lineup.”

We showed that we can play our style»

Despite the short time to prepare with nawwk, fnatic are not looking for excuses:

“Yes, it was difficult to adapt, because everyone has their own thoughts about the game. But we did a great job and now everything is in our hands.”

A view of the future

MATYS emphasized the importance of the following games:

“For me, the main thing is that we were able to show our style of play. It gives us confidence that we can compete with any team.”

Going to the Major would be the first for MATYS in his career:

“I want to do my best to qualify. We were so close last time, and now I’m ready to give everything to make it a reality.”

Exactly one year ago, MATYS joined fnatic, and that time flew by extremely quickly for him:

“It seems like it was only a few months ago. Now I want to show my best game and help the team reach its goal.”

Fnatic continue to fight on RMR and their path to the Major remains open.
