For Ukraine, this will be nominally a home match. The winner of the confrontation will receive a place in the final part of KBDK-2026.

The competition will consist of five matches: two singles matches on the first day, then doubles on the second day and two more singles matches.
14 nations will play in the KBDC qualifiers: the seven nations that participated in the 2025 Finals (excluding host nation China) and the seven nations that won their 2025 Play-off groups in November. The seven winning teams will advance to the finals of the 2026 tournament, while the losing nations will compete in a play-off in November.
The final part of the 2026 Billie Jean King Cup will be held at the end of September in the Chinese city of Shenzhen. The current champion of the tournament is the Italian team.
Last year, for the first time in history, Ukraine reached the final stage of the KBDC, winning the qualifying group from the national teams of Poland and Switzerland. In the final part of the tournament, the Ukrainian women reached the semi-finals, where they lost to Italy.
