According to the publication’s interlocutor, other applicants are currently not being considered, as Koretsky is “the strongest in the industry.”
Serhii Koretsky headed Naftogaz of Ukraine in May 2025. Prior to that, from November 2022 to May 2025, he was the head of Ukrnafta, and even earlier, he was the general director of the WOG gas station network.
Scandal in “Energoatom”As UNIAN reported, on November 10 NABU and SAP conducted a large-scale operation to expose corruption in the energy sector. Members of the criminal organization created a large-scale corruption scheme to influence strategic state enterprises, in particular JSC NAEK Energoatom.

Later, NABU reported the suspicion of involvement in the scheme of a number of persons, including, according to the media, former Deputy Prime Minister Oleksiy Chernyshov.
The higher anti-corruption court has already chosen preventive measures for four participants in the scandal. They were remanded in custody for 60 days with the alternative of posting bail ranging from $40 to over $100 million.
Another figure in the “NABU tapes” – Minister of Energy Svitlana Grynchuk has written a statement of resignation.
The Minister of Justice, former Minister of Energy Herman Galushchenko also wrote a statement. Prime Minister Yuliya Svyridenko has sent a request for the dismissal of two ministers to the Verkhovna Rada, which must now make the appropriate decision.
