At the center of the film is a woman named Joan, who after death has to make a choice: with whom to spend eternity in the other life. At first, everything looks simple, because at the crossroads the heroine meets her beloved husband Larry, with whom she spent all her life. However, shortly, her first man, who died young and has been waiting for her for decades, appeared on the horizon.
Olsen’s partners on the set were Miles Teller (“Top Gan: Meverik”, “Gorge”, Franchise “Divergent”) and Callum Turner (“Fantastic Beasts: Grindelwald Crimes”, “Emma”, series “Air Owners”).
Another important role of the mediator in the other life was played by the Oscar Prize winner Da’in Joy Randolph (“Supreme”, “Spy at the Wedding”).
The film was directed by David Freine, who had previously filmed the body of the third wave of zombies and the romantic comedy “A Ferchant from Amber”.
The world premiere of the tape was held at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2025.
According to the press service of the adastra cinema film company that is the distributor of the film in Ukraine, in the Ukrainian rental “Eternity” will be released on November 27, 2025.
Currently, an IMDB movie rating is 7.7 out of 10 points, while on Rotten Tomatoes, it received 88% of critics approval. At the same time, at Metacritic, movie experts rated it at 64 out of 100 points, which corresponds to the characteristic “generally positive feedback”.
