28-year-old Ukrainian tennis player Angelina Kalinin entered the WTA 125 tournament qualification in Limoges, France.
Kalinina has not played in competition since June 2, when she failed to complete a first-round match in Bari, Italy. The reasons for Kalinina’s six-month break are still unknown.
Competitions in Limoges will be held from December 8 to 14 on indoor hard surfaces. The current champion is Victoria Golubych.
Kalinin won the Limoges tournament trophy in 2022, beating Carol Monnet, Jenny Lim, Zhang Shuai, Anna Blinkova and Clara Towson on her way.
Kalinin ranks 157th in the WTA ranking. This season, she played 22 matches and won nine – in January, Angelina reached the semi-finals of the 500 in Brisbane.
