Details: In its report, ISW notes that Russian “militants” claim to have entrenched Russian sabotage and reconnaissance units north of Timofiivka and along the T-0504 Pokrovsk-Kostiantynivka route. They also state that Russian troops have advanced north of Vozdvizhenka in the direction of Baranivka, Vodyanyi Drugo and Zeleni Pol. However, ISW does not confirm these claims.

- Russian forces can also exploit the relatively weaker Ukrainian defensive positions east and south of Pokrovsk in a sustained effort to capture any territory, regardless of its relative tactical importance.
